What is the situation with the current Coronavirus outbreak?

We are currently closed until 12th April due to ongoing tier restrictions.

However we are accepting new bookings as normal from then.

We have a flexible booking policy so if your hire is cancelled due to us being forced to close due to lockdown then your booking can be moved free of charge which is our preferred option or we can refund you.

A "back to normal" policy applies from end of June; as per the aim of the Government. If the situation changes we will update accordingly.

Should a natioanal Tier system be reintroduced we will amend of policy. Currently Tier 3 and above campsites are closed so we will be too and the hire is refundable or transferable. Tier 2 and below we proceed as normal.

If the local "Tier" system applies then the situation becomes a little more complex and we will update our hires as and when this applies to you or you can ask us and we will try our best to accommodate. As a general policy, if West Yorks is in Tier 3 we can rearrange the hire or you can go ahead - we leave this up to you. Tier 2 and below in West Yorkshire means normal terms will apply and the hire will go ahead as usual. We will try to be flexible around this if we can.

How can I get a quote?

You can input dates into our search function or via the "Our Fleet & Bookings" page, those vehicles that are available will show an option to "Configure Booking", click this and it will go through and give you a quote for these dates and any extras you may wish to add. Alternatively you can click "Availability" next to each vehicle to see the gaps in our booking calendar or contact us directly for a quote.

How does the damage deposit work?

Unlike most hire companies we do not take the full excess as a damage deposit. If you are paying by credit card we just need a £50 holding deposit just before you collect, if you only have debit card then we will need the full deposit paid upfront I'm afraid. If any damage occurs on hire you are liable up to the excess of £1000 (consult our terms in the footer for more info). See our waiver in the text below.

Do you offer a Damage Waiver to reduce the excess?

Yes we have a Super Collison Damage Waiver extra option, this is £12 per day or £10.50 per day over 10 nights (11+). This reduces your excess from £1000 to £125 for exterior damage resulting from a Road Traffic Accident. This waiver does not cover driver error, negligence, misuse or interior damage. What is included with the vehicle?

Our rates are fully inclusive and transparent - we have no hidden charges for insurance etc that you might see elsewhere. Rates include insurance for one driver (with 6 or less points), UK breakdown cover, and unlimited mileage. We also include everything you need for hire (except bedding and towels available as an extra). All cables, hoses, chemicals, gas, cutlery, crockery, aplliances etc are supplied (think of it like a self catering holiday house you can drive). Extras such as extra drivers, damage waivers, exterior chairs and bedding can be added during the booking process via our availability calendar.

I have never hired before is it difficult to drive and use a motorhome?

The short answer is no. Most of our hirers are first time users or those considering buying a motorhome and wanting a tester first. The driving is very easy, all our vehicles are under 3500kg so do not require any special license and the cab is the same as a normal van. Using a motorhome is also straight forward and we include a written guide for each vehicle and 24 hour support should you need help - we recommend using campsites where possible and sticking to them initially if you are a first timer as it makes things easier.

What are your age restrictions?

Our standard rates apply to drivers aged 25-74. We can accomodate drivers outside this range (usually 22-78) but a small daily charge and higher excess may apply in some cases. Drivers must have held a valid full UK license for 24 months (or International equivalent).

What is your minimum hire period?

Our minimum hire period is 4 nights most of the year, in the peak season (June - August) this goes up to 6 nights. However we may be able to squeeze in a shorter hire in between existing hires so get in touch or put an enquiry through and we will get back to you.

Can I see the vehicles before booking?

Yes as long as they are available to view just give us a call to organise a time. As they are all normally in use you may need to wait until the end of the season or arrange a viewing between hires.

Are you dog friendly?

Yes we are dog friendly in all our vehicles but we ask you bring covers for the upholstery and ensure the vehicle is left clean after use. Dogs must not be left unaccompanied in the motorhome.

What time is collection and return?

You can think of us like a hotel, hire is by the night so our standard collection time is 2pm and return is before 11am (usually 10:30am).

Can I drive a motorhome on a normal driving license? What if I have points?

This depends on the weight of the motorhome, all our vehicles are less than 3500KG so you can drive them on a standard license. If you have 3 or less active endorsements with an SP code then there is no extra charge. If you have 6 points or more there may be a small extra charge per day please contact us. Endorsements with other codes please contact us to let us know when booking.

Do you have any automatic vehicles?

No all our vehicles are 6 speed manuals at the moment.

Can I leave my car with you?

Yes we include secure parking for your car whilst you are away as some people like to come with the car loaded and travel onwards from there. You will need to leave a key with us if you want your car to be stored inside our locked unit. You can also leave it parked outside

Can I take the motorhome to EIRE/Europe?

UK travel is included in our standard rates. EU travel including EIRE is available as an extra for £20 per day plus £3.50 per day for EU breakdown cover. Mileage is still unlimited.

How do I book?

You can book via the website and we will be in touch to confirm availability and take the booking deposit or you can give us a call if it's easier. We simply take £35 per night booking deposit to secure the dates which is non-refundable (see our terms for more info), your hire balance is due 6 weeks prior to collection along with some paperwork we need for the hire. You can pay by card or bank transfer.

Do you have Camping & Caravanning Club Membership?

Yes we offer a temporary Privilege Membership of the Camping & Caravanning Club as an extra. This is for hire companies and entitles hirers to a member discount at their sites (30%) so you can save up to £15 a night. We will provide a key fob and window sticker when you collect. You can book sites in advance by calling the centralised number or individual campsites and letting them know you will be using a Privilege Membership.

NB Please note that this isn't the Caravan Club, this is a separate club which doesn't offer membership to hirers.

Can car seats be fitted in the motorhomes?

Yes car seats can be fitted to any of the seats as they are all standard three point seatbelts, but there are no isofix points in the vehicles. Should you need to hire a seatbelt fixed car seat you can do so when putting through an enquiry via the calendar or asking us directly. Our seat fits 9 months - 12 years.
